Health and Training

Health Status:

Flo does have sweet itch, an allergic reaction to the saliva of midges. This is managed with lotions and rugs, which will come with her to her new home. She would be best suited to poor, restricted grazing to keep her at a healthy weight as she has equine metabolic syndrome. She also has equine asthma and whilst she can be part stabled, this would need to be in a low dust environment.

Training Level:

Flo has no specific training needs, is respectful of electric fencing and has lived with mares and geldings.

Flo's Past

Flo came to us in 2003, she had been ridden in the past but is now retired after being signed-over by her former owner.

Flo's Future

Rehoming Fee: £50

Flo needs someone dedicated in managing her sweet itch, someone who can commit to her daily routine, with rugs, creams. A windy, exposed or coastal site would be the best match for her, but this is not essential.

Flo is happy to be left when other horses are taken away, making her the ideal companion. Her ideal home would be an equine with similar restricted grazing requirements and an adult only home.

Our Rehoming Advisors are available to help every day of the year. We will work to support you and Flo as she settles in her new home and can offer training and advice as needed.

Required number of visits: 3. Flo lives at our Coombe Park site, Near Totnes.
