Health and Training
Health Status:
Chilli has no known health conditions, and she has been perfect with the vet, dentist and farrier. Chilli is overweight and needs restricted grazing. She currently lives on a grass free track but is still overweight, so she needs regular exercise to help control her weight.
Training Level:
Chilli was well handled at the sanctuary then went out on loan at four years old. She was slowly started under saddle on loan. She lunges and leads off another horse perfectly. She is an excellent lead rein pony but has not been ridden much without being led due to having an unconfident rider. She has been to cross-country courses and jumps any fence led or from lunge line, including water and ditches. Chilli has done poles and small show jumps led, and nothing seems to faze her. She has been fine with all traffic. She loads and travels well in lorry or trailer.

Chilli's Past
Chilli came into sanctuary as a foal at foot from the moor, was well handled at the Sanctuary, and then went out on loan at four years old. She has been at the same loan home since.
Chilli's Future
Rehoming Fee: £750
Chilli is a forward going pony that appears to love trying new things. She needs a confident rider who could bring her on to the next level. She would also make a perfect lead rein pony but would need a lot of exercise to keep her weight down. She could be a great pony club pony with the right person. Chilli would benefit from living with a family that can control her grazing and provide regular, varied exercise.
Chilli must have good, strong electric fencing, if this is being used. She is used to living out, so would ideally benefit from a home where she isn’t going to need to be stabled for long periods.
Please note – Chilli is currently on loan in the EX15 area, so any potential carers must be prepared to travel here to meet her.
Our Rehoming Advisors are available to help every day of the year. We will work to support you and Chilli as she settles in her new home and can offer training and advice as needed.
