Merry
Rehoming is just one of the ways that you can support us, enabling more room at our sanctuaries for urgent rescues. Ruth knew when she met Merry that she’d make the perfect companion.

Sonnet
Sonnet had a challenging start in life. It is thanks to your support that we were able to provide her with the loving care she needed to recover.
Kitty and Nightjar
Ken is a pony keeper on Dartmoor, a national park with a large population of moorland ponies. He shared his recent experience about an outbreak of strangles and how with your support we were able to help him and two of his sickest ponies
Nutkin
Equine asthma is triggered by allergies. In Nutkin’s case he’s allergic to the dust present in hay and bedding, as well as pollen. This makes managing his condition tricky because he struggles in both the stable and field. Luckily, our expert Sanctuary Care team, under veterinary guidance, trained Nutkin to use a nebuliser.
Hugo and Gabriel
Hugo and Gabriel were found severely underweight and suffering with sores when we rescued them in June 2022. We were shocked to find these two magnificent Andalusian horses in this state.
Lola
Lola is an 11-year-old palomino Shetland who went to live with her carer family as a companion to a ridden pony last spring.
Robin
When Robin arrived at the sanctuary in 2018, he was already blind in his right eye but was managing to cope well. Earlier this year we noticed that his eye was starting to cause him some discomfort.
Aura
Sadly, some rescued horses and ponies who arrive here have endured the most terrible trauma and from Aura’s behaviour we knew that she had suffered more than most.
Tinkerman
We are always a friendly voice for anyone who isn’t coping with the care and welfare of their equine(s) so when Tinkerman’s owner called us, we were glad they did.
