University of Exeter’s Employer of the Month

That’s why we are delighted to have been awarded Employer of the Month by The University of Exeter’s Student Employment team.  

The Sanctuary provides internships as part of the University’s Professional Pathways to Charity and Development Programme and has contributed expert knowledge and guidance to the students’ training. 

Exeter Student Employment Schemes Manager, Andrea Hodges, called the partnership ‘highly valued’ and described The Mare and Foal Sanctuary as ‘an exemplary employer amongst students and the local business community’. 

Dawn Vincent, Director of Fundraising and Communications says: ‘We’re delighted to receive this award. The Mare and Foal Sanctuary has been engaging with this excellent programme for three years now. It’s really something to be recognised for taking part and know we’re helping make a difference. Thank you. The support from the pathways team is second to none and we have always received intern students of great calibre and professionalism. I love that they bring buckets of creativity and fresh thinking with them which is so helpful in tackling specific projects. The students are an inspiration and it’s a privilege to offer them work opportunities which have the potential to positively influence their future careers.’
