About The Mare and Foal Sanctuary
The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine welfare charity in the South West peninsula dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies who have suffered neglect, abuse and trauma. We also deliver a range of Equine Assisted Services with our rescued horses and ponies. The Mare and Foal Sanctuary has five sites across Devon, a clear five-year strategy and is ambitious for the future.
About the Role
As a Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving), your responsibilities will include providing essential admin support to the Fundraising Team, supporting the planning and delivery of scheduled mailings, managing supporter stewardship, and conducting research to support our current and future projects.
This is an office based role in Newton Abbot with the opportunity to work from home on some days for the right candidate. The core hours are 37.5 per week.
Please note that this role is subject to a DBS check, and you will be required to provide proof of your right to work in the UK.
Salary Range: Band H2.2 £22,971 to H2.7 £24,630 Responsible to: Individual Giving Manager
What you will be doing:
Supporting the planning and delivery of scheduled mailings
Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager to plan and execute scheduled mailings, ensuring effective communication with our supporters.
Managing the adoptions scheme
Take charge of the adoptions scheme, including handling monthly adoption renewals, adopter updates, and stewardship activities.
Contributing to the lottery project and Gambling Commission license application
Play a role in our lottery project and provide assistance in the application process for the Gambling Commission license.
Maintaining accurate supporter records
Ensure that supporter records in Donorfy are accurate and up-to-date, and complete Donorfy tasks as required.
Compliance framework management
Keep the compliance framework current by regularly updating it as needed to meet regulatory requirements.
Event administration and community fundraising stewardship
Assist with event administration and community fundraising stewardship to engage with our supporters and foster a sense of community.
Supporter thanking and stewardship
Offer assistance with supporter thanking and stewardship activities as needed by the team, ensuring our donors feel valued and appreciated.
What you will bring:
- Strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in written English.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in the MS Office suite and databases.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Prior experience in fundraising/marketing communications is desirable.
- Experience in project management is also desirable.
