Digital Fundraising Officer
Location: Hybrid, remote working with nominated base at Olympus Offices in Newton Abbot.
Salary: £24,039 per annum pro rata, with access to private health and corporate discounts
Contract: 6 months fixed term
About the Role:
As a Digital Fundraising Officer, you will be at the heart of our charity’s digital marketing efforts, helping us grow our income and attract new supporters. You’ll have the opportunity to use your skills in email marketing, social media management, and digital campaigns to make a real difference. Working alongside our dynamic team, you’ll influence our creative digital initiatives, grow our online presence, and directly contribute to the success of our fundraising efforts.
Expand Email Marketing Programme: Develop and enhance supporter stewardship journeys, driving email engagement and subscriber growth. You will help:
- Manage email campaigns for various supporter segments, including online shop customers, equine community members, event participants and lapsing supporters.
- Create bi-weekly supporter emails to support fundraising initiatives.
- Build and develop supporter email journeys, creating personalised content to improve stewardship.
- Drive email list growth through improved contactability and reactivation campaigns for lapsing supporters.
What You’ll Be Doing:-
Social Media Engagement: Grow our social media presence and foster online communities. You will help:
- Publish engaging content tailored for specific platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
- Engage with followers by monitoring and responding to comments, questions, and interactions to build a strong supporter community.
- Manage online communities, including closed groups like the Sanctuary at Home Carers group, to provide support and build relationships with followers.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow our social media following.
Digital Marketing: Support the planning and execution of digital fundraising and marketing campaigns. You will help:
- Implement value exchange campaigns and digital acquisition initiatives.
- Plan and deliver integrated fundraising appeals such appeals and Crowdfunders.
- Provide digital marketing support for other income streams, including lottery, sponsorships, and DRTV campaigns.
SEO and Website Optimisation: Ensure the charity’s website content is SEO-optimised and monitor search engine performance to identify opportunities for growth.
What you’ll bring:
- Email Marketing Expertise: Proven experience using email marketing platforms and creating email marketing campaigns.
- Digital Fundraising: Experience of creating digital fundraising campaigns.
- Social Media Management: Proficient in managing and growing social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- SEO and Website Knowledge: Familiarity with search engine optimisation and WordPress CMS.
- Creative and Innovative: Capable of generating fresh ideas for digital campaigns.
- Collaborative Team Player: Effective at working with colleagues across departments to achieve shared goals.
- Proactive and Self-Motivated: Ability to manage workload independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Basic Design and Multimedia Skills: Experience with tools like Canva for social media is a plus.
- Passionate About Charity: Genuine interest in the charity’s mission and the impact of digital fundraising.
- Driving licence essential – business mileage paid from nominated base
