If confidence had a personality… it would be Wurzel
Arriving at the Sanctuary at just a few weeks old, Wurzel didn’t take long to make himself known, especially alongside his best friend, Flint.
Always the first to trot over for scratches, his playful and outgoing nature has completely won over the team. He’s the kind of foal who brings a little extra joy wherever he goes.
Wurzel is also doing brilliantly in his training, already comfortable wearing a headcollar and happily picking up all four feet. His handler says his cheerful enthusiasm makes him an absolute pleasure to work with.
His dam, sweet mare Marilyn is learning to trust the world one small step at a time. With calm, consistent support, she’s growing more confident every day, from enjoying her grooming sessions to bravely practicing picking up her feet.
Marilyn is especially motivated by a tasty treat (who isn’t?!). With patience, kindness, and your support, Marilyn is continuing to blossom into the confident horse she’s meant to be.
