Personality
Fizzy is a calm, gentle pony with a lovely temperament. She’s good to handle and a pleasure to be around. She has happily shared her paddock with both mares and geldings, getting along well with all.
Health and Training
Health Status:
Fizzy has sweet itch and will require rugging and a fly mask. We also use creams to help manage her symptoms. She has equine asthma and will require a dust-free bedding option if stabled, and soaked hay. Fizzy also has Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS), a hormonal condition mostly associated with insulin resistance. As a native pony, she will need her weight carefully monitored, with restricted grazing to prevent obesity and related issues.
Training Level:
Fizzy was previously ridden but is now fully retired from ridden work. She is good for the vet and farrier.

Fizzy arrived at the Sanctuary when her owner was no longer able to care for her.

Fizzy needs a caring home with someone dedicated to managing her sweet itch. She does not respect electric fencing, so she’ll require a home where this doesn’t need to be used to restrict her grazing.
She’s very settled in her stable when left alone, making her an ideal companion pony.
Fizzy is an active pony and is regularly walked out in hand, which helps keep her at a healthy weight.
