Foraging for Wellbeing: A Day of Nature, Food, and Craft

Date: November 8th

Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm

Location: Coombe Park Sanctuary

Price: £65.00

Join us at our Coombe Park Sanctuary for a day in the woods to discover the wonderful wild plants that can be used for food and creative crafts.

This event begins with a guided foraging walk, where you’ll learn how to identify a variety of plants and explore their culinary and medicinal uses. You’ll discover how to forage safely and sustainably, enjoying the delicious wild foods growing all around us, just as our rescued ponies do.

After the walk, we’ll come together to weave those natural threads into beautiful willow platters or bowls. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of willow weaving, giving you the chance to connect with this versatile material and create your own display piece to take home, to showcase your foraged finds.

The day includes tastings, a wild-inspired lunch, a chance to explore our beautiful equine reserve, and all materials needed for your willow projects.

About our expert guides:

Hannah has been a passionate forager for over ten years, combining her expertise as a foraging guide and former NHS dietitian to share her knowledge of wild foods.

Daniel, an artist and a teacher of heritage crafts and ancestral skills, brings a deep passion for building a meaningful relationship with nature through traditional skills.

We look forward to welcoming you for a day of nature, nourishment, and creativity!
